Dear Yoga,
You’ve changed my life.
I think it’s important to share with my clients moments in my life that have helped me evolve.
You are always so gracious and trusting to let me into your personal space, allowing me to help you transform your lives in ways you may not even share with me.
I’m a believer that the universe unravels itself as it may.
This past year I’ve made a deeper effort to opening up my spirit and letting things be what they are with less resistance. No amount of worry will change the outcome. I’ve also realized more and more that the “things” that suddenly become so important, such as deeper conversations, visions, deeper needs, present themselves when they are suppose to.
Whether you are ready and open to accept them at the time is a different story!
I’ve been a blessed mom for over 13 years now. We can all understand how challenging taking time for ourselves can be, whether we are parents or not.
I’ve now found space to fill.
I’ve filled it with yoga.
Having dabbled with my yoga practice since the early 2000s, I dropped it completely in the midst of motherhood.
But I’ve thrown myself back onto the mat and into a space where I can breathe.
A space that I didn’t realize I’d missed so much until I was back in it.
It’s given me a renewed sense of presence, breath and awareness.
I’m more awake that ever.
I crave it and appreciate it.
So, if you hear me deep Pranayama breathing during our massage sessions, it’s the yoga talking!!
Follow along.
My instructor told us that when she leaves her mat at the end of her practice, it’s like she’s wiped the slate clean.
It’s a new day, a new start and a new beginning.
I wish for all of you this year to find that something that gives you a renewed sense of awareness as well.
I’ve heard many clients say to me “Why have I waited so long to come in for a massage?” and “I didn’t realize how much I needed this.”
Find that space, make that time.
I’m here when you are ready.
If it’s nature, sport, meditation or MASSAGE – repeat, repeat, repeat.
See you all in my studio soon.
~Namaste
